Iosif S. Paraskevas works in the area of Robotics and Automation, Mechatronics and Product Design since 2003, with specialization in Space Robotics and Space Technology. He received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (ME), M.Sc. in Automation Systems and Ph.D in ME, all from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in 2005, 2007 and 2015 respectively. He is Research Associate/ Senior Researcher at the Microlab, ECE, NTUA and at the CSL, Mech. Eng., NTUA. He has worked in the past as a Scientific Advisor in Corallia Clusters Initiative, at the Hellenic Space Technologies and Applications Cluster (si-cluster). He has published various research papers in international journal publications and conferences and worked in various projects for the European Space Agency (ESA) and the EC (H2020, CleanSky, Erasmus+) as well as for national funding schemes. His research work is mainly focused on On Orbit Servicing (OOS) and Space Automation, while his interests are Design and Control of Mechatronics Systems, Space Automation & Robotics, Space Technology, Impact Mechanics and Systems Engineering.
